About Liliane de Vries
“There are no mistakes,” as Liliane would say. Both her parents had endured the hardships of the Second World War in France. Her mother, née Marie-Therese Coulon, often spoke of the hard times and to this day continues to speak of her personal struggles in conjunction with the hardships of today’s world.
Her father, Fernand Boulanger, on the contrary, told his stories from the perspective of a man who had conquered many hardships and came out stronger. The gifts they both brought to Liliane are what took her on her journey to where she is today.
Liliane grew up to believe that she would never be as smart as her brother and, for the longest time, held herself back from possibilities, finding her comfort in food. The identification of who her real family and parents were, was constantly changing, and in 1979 she was sexually assaulted and lived in fear adding a second attack about a year later.
Liliane eventually got married, had two beautiful children, and learned a lot about herself. Her husband and children were some of her greatest teachers. The challenges her children brought were not only part of their journey, but hers as well.
Having graduated as a nurse in 1977, she saw and experienced things that were life changing. She understood the value she brought in the connections she made while caring for others in need. Healthcare was changing drastically and her frustrations with wanting to help others in her field lacked experience. She was at a crossroad, still working in healthcare and helping her parents with their restaurant business. de Vries also worked as a customer service rep moving quickly into management in pharmaceuticals. The numerous mergers took her to coaching and her breaking point of moving from being a victim of her circumstances to wanting to help others who felt they were victims as well. She saw it in her family, in healthcare, in the corporate world and she did not want to be part of that vicious cycle. She needed to stop the patterns of victimization for herself and others.
It was 2001 when Liliane graduated from the Workplace Wellness & Health Promotion program and started running programs for corporations. Eventually she became a fitness instructor and began teaching aerobic classes to plus size women. She was determined to heal herself as she was helping heal others. Liliane became a professional certified coach with the Coaches Training Institute . She then continued her coaching studies by taking ORSC (Organizational Relationship Systems Coaching) through the Center for Right Relationships.
Today, Liliane is a leader in change through her coaching and keynote speaking. Her 6 month Alive to be YOU program has changed many lives from lost, overwhelmed, and unfocused, to lives filled with happiness, choice and alignment to their personal passions, values, purpose and mostly respect for what brings them happiness. Among other things, Liliane provides one-on-one coaching with individuals, relationship coaching for couples, families and/or other forms of relationships, and continues to coach teams and individuals throughout corporations and healthcare. She brings “life” to all whom she touches.
Liliane is a world-wide keynote speaker and Master of Experiential Change. She lives everyday of her life to help others find their way and create extraordinary lives. Her vision is to extend the work she does in her own country to other countries around the world, and learn from different cultures to add to the wisdom she already shares with you.
Her involvement with the making of “The Difference” movie, continues to be an exciting part of her world work. She is continually collaborating with the movie makers on the film content, stories of experience and script work. Though the film has yet to have a release date, there is much anticipation being built upon its release.
